WHO's Global Health Strategy 2025-2028: Advancing Equity and Resilience

• The WHO's Fourteenth General Programme of Work (GPW 14) establishes an ambitious strategy to get health-related Sustainable Development Goals back on track during 2025-2028. Built on the mission to promote, provide, and protect health, it addresses six strategic objectives: responding to climate change, addressing health determinants, advancing primary healthcare, improving service coverage, preventing health risks, and strengthening emergency responses. The strategy emphasizes joint action between countries, partners, and WHO to achieve measurable impacts at country level, while building health systems resilience in an increasingly turbulent world marked by climate change, demographic shifts, and geopolitical complexities.
